Beauty starts with simplicity.
I have seen homes and offices having a unique fashion sense without necessarily masking itself with pricey items and furnishings. Decorating our homes and workplace is effortless and trouble-free if we project it in a manner that replicates our personality. Minimalists want it simple, but outstanding. Furniture is one of the home and office décors that I consider austere but embellished. They create a gist of our artistic imagination. We can have our own style, however we envision it. We can position them depending on how we want it to influence the mood of our rooms. A set of bamboo chairs in your living room or balcony gives a calming feeling, where you can sit back and relax after a hard day’s work. I also find it really cool having a reception area outlined with set of finely furnished bamboo tables and chairs. Another thing that I admire about furniture industry is its way of innovating things in a very Filipino way. Rocking chairs remind us of our grandparents who used to tell us life’s stories and lessons. Cribs and walkers that are easy on the pocket are just fit for families who do not want to deprive their infants of the ease and comfort that they deserve, but also do not wish to spend much.
Creativity varies in every individual. May it be chic, simple, unique, or weird, it doesn’t really matter. What counts most is the satisfaction that we gain after putting into physicality what we have in our minds.
