As you pass by downtown streets, you will notice a bunch of people flocking around a small foodstand. They seem to be very busy trying to pick-up an oval-shaped, orange thing using a barbecue stick. They put this on a small disposable plate, with sliced cucumber, seaweeds, and vinegar on the side. What is this thing? A hard-boiled egg wrapped in a flour with an orange food coloring, they call this appetizing food "kwek-kwek." It has a distinct taste that you would rather spend eight pesos than going home and cooking your own hard-boiled egg. It may appear just like a small piece of food with crunchy cucumber and seaweeds as sidings, but as you have your last bits and pieces of it, from a person with an empty stomach, you will find yourself touching your tummy, full and satisfied. Burp!
